The Conversation
Lessons from leadership, life and lived experience.
I’ve lived much of my life without having all the answers, and I’m okay saying that. What I’ve learned is that God has been my guide and my strength when I didn’t have it within myself.
I became a wife at 19. I am a mother of seven. I dropped out of high school. I survived an abusive relationship. And through it all, I was still being called by God. None of it was linear, but all of it shaped who I am. As women, we carry a lot.
Responsibility. Expectations. Other people’s needs. And while carrying it all might look good, it doesn’t always feel good.
There were seasons in my life where I lived by “let them.” Let them assume. Let them think what they want. I learned that peace doesn’t require explanation. There were also seasons of "memento vivere," remember to live. Because you can spend your life pouring into everyone else and forget to live your own.
This space is rooted in faith, experience, and honesty. That’s the conversation.
Keep Becoming With Me,
Wendy
